In Ramundberget, Bruksvallarna and the Funäsfjällen area there is an extensive trail system for cross-country skiing with trails over both mountains, in forest and valleys.
Ramundberget is part of Nordic Ski in Funäsfjällen, which is one of the world's largest continuous trail systems with 300 kilometers of groomed tracks for cross-country skiing.
Already in October, it is possible to go out in the groomed trails in the valley where Ramundberget and Bruksvallarna are located. During the winter, further excellent trails are drawn across the mountains and through valleys, hilly and flat, in birch and spruce forests.
In Ramundberget there is an illuminated trail, 2.5 km. Adjacent to the children's area Lillramis is a short cross-country ski trail for the youngest children.
Pass for cross-country trails
The pass for cross-country trails, which is needed to use all the tracks within Funäsfjällen are, also offers the possibility of a free ski bus between the villages, so it is possible to go from one village to another and get back by bus.
The pass can be purchased at the reception at Fjällgården or at Guest Service, in the village center.
From Ramundberget, the lovely waffle cabin Ösjöstugan is reached via tour trail wthat starts from the chair lift Fjällgårdsbanan's top station.
As the days get longer, more and more trails are drawn on the mountains around the Funäsfjällen area with both longer and shorter routes.
Rental and equipment
Equipment is available to rent at Ramundberget's sports shop Topsport, located next to the lift Fjällgårdsbanan. Also, don't miss a visit to Topsports store in Bruksvallarna, which is a purely cross-country shop with staff who have solid experience in equipment and cross-country skiing.
